Ray Burchett, a 20+ year trading veteran and expert in trader development provides the insights aspiring traders need to develop proper perspective and creditable expectations for success.

Mr. Burchett is recognized as a content expert by the CME. During his time on the trading floor he served on the S&P 500 Pit, Pit Oversight, IOM (Index and Options Market) Nominating, and Technology Committees. Ray also co-founded and served as the President of Local Knowledge from 1997-2004 and designed and oversaw development of UltraCharts. In 2005 he founded Archimedes Partners to commercialize his Intuitive Development methodology and software platform to improve corporate culture and in turn employee engagement. Prior to joining the CME Mr. Burchett practiced as a Certified Public Accountant in the Small Business Audit and Tax Division for Arthur Andersen in Chicago. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

After 18 months of spinning his wheels in the pit Ray Burchett was ready to call it quits. Spending his days on the trading floor, working after the close, then staying up late doing market analysis with nothing to show for his efforts were getting the best of him. The key decision that allowed him to continue and find success became the foundation for Intuitive Development. Insights gained through failure provided Ray with awareness for the subtleties making the difference between winning and loosing trading days.
