The process of learning how to trade takes time. Consistency, discipline, and profitability are not learned overnight. TopstepTrader is a scouting agency that has a responsibility to present our equity partners with only the top quality traders we find. Trading is an emotionally, mentally, and physically exhausting profession. The pressure to trade well in the Combine can often cause an individual to trade poorly and as a result, backfires for the trader. The trader Combine should be viewed as an opportunity to develop your skill as a trader using the resources we provide under real market conditions. Use the tools, hone your skill, and attain profitability levels you may never thought you could previously achieve. When you are performing at your optimum level, we WILL select you to trade for our equity partner. 

The TopstepTrader Combine is a process and no one is guaranteed to go live after his/her Combine. The scout team and equity partners' selection process is discretionary as to if and when they take someone live. This should not be viewed as a “quick fix” to find an equity backer or start making personal income. Your agenda should be to develop into the trader we are looking to place. There is no capital at risk to the trader, simply time. If one cannot afford the time, TopstepTrader may not be the right fit.

Since no capital contribution is required, TopstepTrader’s equity partners will back only those who follow our trading guidelines and are recommended by the scouts. The requirements of the Scouting Criteria are absolutely non-negotiable - NO exceptions. Whether profitable or not, if the results of your trading style do not fit within the parameters we are looking for, you may not be selected for a live account.
