Simulated Futures Trading
The training period provides the tools that will prepare you for the evaluation period. Trading coaches are available for those in the training. You can ask questions or advice about your trading, charting pattern setups, or whatever is on your mind. Entering the training before the Combine is OPTIONAL.
John Hoagland, a 25+ year floor trader and senior scout, conducts a comprehensive trading class for our traders every day from 9am-10am CST in the "TST Trading 101" pit of the chat room. During this time, John (HOAG) "shares his screen" and answers everything from intermediate to advanced trading questions. John also provides insight on what works successfully for our live traders.
Trading coaches are there for YOU. Don't be shy, you must ask questions to learn and become successful in this industry.
The one week training gives you the ability to quickly gain a feel of your trading performance, and experience the TopstepTrader program and T4 platform before entering the Combine.
The one week FREE training program is available only once.
The two week training is beneficial for people who are new to futures trading and need an extended period of time to learn and experience the futures markets.
We have trading coaches that are in place to help shorten your learning curve. Enter the Combine when you feel that you are ready to be evaluated.
To receive the most out of your training period and prepare adequately for the Combine, try to adhere to the Combine objective:

Recruits who enter the Combine will be evaluated using the criteria below. The scout team's review is subjective, and you may be asked to repeat the evaluation period. Reasons for not selecting a recruit who completes the Combine with a net equity greater than $55,000 could be, but is not limited to the following:

ALL of these rules MUST BE FOLLOWED in order to be offered the Live Trader Setup - absolutely NO exceptions.
If ANY of these occur during the Combine and your account balance is greater than $55,000 (after commissions and exchange fees are subtracted) you will not be selected as a live trader. **All of the above mentioned will be relayed to the recruit and announced via email (Combine reminder, etc.), chat room scouts (NEBRASKA, HOAG or JAYHAWK), chat room broadcaster (EDDIE), and alerts via the trading software. Software alerts are sent through the system to your trading screen during day and night trading.
Please note, it is recommended by the scout team that recruits do not hold a position into a major economic release (we suggest being flat on economic numbers releases indicated here by a yellow or red star).
